Alexandra took a trip to California’s central coast and visited Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Along the way she spend some time at the beaches in Cambria and Piedras Blancas. Sea Otters, Cranes and Elephant Seals could be seen from the beach and pretty rocks and shells have been collected. To see all photos from the trip click here.

There was fresh snowfall in the local mountains and what better time to spent Saturday then to enjoy the snow. A trip into the San Gabriel Mountains, just 40 minutes away from home to a altitude of 5000 feet. To see all photos click here.

Alexandra went up north so see her uncle and aunt for Thanksgiving. All her grandparents went also and even more people showed up for dinner. Later everybody went to the Apple Hill Farms and a quick wine tour. For some photos click here.
Alexandra had lots of fun dressing up as a mermaid. She had a big party at Kindergarten and in the evening she went trick or treating as well. To see some photos click here.

Alexandra made a trip to Pt. Mugu State Park , just south of Camarillo, CA, to splash in the Pacific Ocean. She took her parents and grandparents along to enjoy the beach.

Alexandra went to El Dorado Hills to visit her cousin Natalie and take advantage of the nearby wine country in Amador County. Amador County is just east of Sacramento and offers many family run wineries.

Alexandra just returned from her first cruise. It went to the Western Caribbean with stops in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico and Bahamas. Alexandra started to stand up, still with help from other or a sturdy box or sofa. She managed to stand about 3 seconds on her own. Now she crawls to a nice vertical surface and tries to get herself up standing. She also like to stand in her crib now which is set to the lowest setting. Here are some photos.

Alexandra started to crawl a couple of days ago, but today she made her first trip across the hardwood floor. She can also sit upright without any problems and can stand up on her knees. Today she also went to her neighbor Antonio’s 4th birthday party and enjoyed all the baby animals from the petting zoo. She also liked a quick shower from the waterslide to cool down on this hot day. Alexandra learned how to turn over in her bed! She also likes to sleep on her side now, instead of lying on her back all the time. She can hold her head up while on her tummy. Alexandra also likes to stand up, but she still needs some help with balance. Here is a short movie of her rolling over. Alexandra returned from her first road trip just a few days ago. She and her parents traveled a total of 2000 miles just in California. On the way they stopped in the Sacramento area to see her cousin Natalie. Alexandra turned 3 month just a couple of days ago. She got her second set of vaccinations. For the Labor day weekend she will travel up north all week, visiting Sacramento, Eureka and Yosemite National Park. Alexandra turned 2 month old today and she got baptized at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church in Pasadena, CA. All her family and friends turned out to witness the occasion, followed by a nice get-together at her home. To see some photos from the baptism ceremony click here.

Alexandra passed her first month just a few days ago. She is now going out more, shopping at department stores, Home Depot and Costco. Alexandra also made her first trip to a restaurant and behaved really nice, so her parents could enjoy a good meal. A new computer arrived in her home, so look forward to a few new movies transferred from the camcorder to DVD and the web. See the movie At the Hospital here. On March 29 Alexandra visited daddy in his office at work and got to see all his coworkers.

Alexandra had her first Doctors visit today for her “Well Baby” check-up and she passed with flying colors. Her rating was a solid A! She also already grew 1 inch and is now up to 7 lb and 8 ounces.

Alexandra has been been with us for more then a week now and what joy it is to see her every day. She has been on her first shopping trip already getting a larger supply of diapers and food essentials for the big people. Too bad Alexandra won’t remember anything as she slept through the entire trip. She is scheduled to have her first doctors visit on Friday.
